Our flagship program Life Choices was originally launched in 1984 and is funded in part by the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton. Life Choices is a nationally recognized 10 week social skills program and is offered to youth ages 13 to 18.
Staff and volunteers utilize interactive activities, behaviour rehearsals and video clips to illustrate the weekly topics. The goal is to increase self-esteem, improve relationships and encourage pro-social skills, all while having fun in a relaxed safe environment.
Weekly topics may include communication, decision making, goal setting, leadership and much, much more.
The Life Choices program regularly utilize knowledgeable guest speakers with lived experience and rely on trained, caring volunteers to mentor and guide youth through the 10 weeks of scheduled programming.
